As a nurse entrepreneur, Denetra Hampton has raised the bar. She has built an educational empire that includes an Ed-tech Startup, Nursing Leadership Initiative and Digital Magazine. Denetra's work is focused on the development of future nurse leaders through a template of diversity, education, innovation, technology and leadership.
She is a 22-year Navy Veteran, and a former United States Naval Nurse Corps Officer. Her professional background consists of a Bachelors of Science in nursing, and a Masters in Health Services Administration. She has experiences in Medical-Surgical, Orthopedics, Post-Anesthesia, Critical Care, Ambulatory Surgical, Clinic Management, Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, Emergency Management, Medicare-Medicaid, The Joint Commission Regulations, and Education.
An innovator, Denetra engineered a grassroots digital study platform focused on nursing,and the health sciences, a digital magazine and spear-headed a nursing leadership initiative.
Denetra received the Military Entrepreneurial Excellence Award from Still Hope Foundation and has been featured on numerous nursing and business blogs. She is a member of the American Association of Healthcare Executives.
